some snow-globes contain anti-freeze? Be sure to keep these way out of reach of happy tails or curious paws that can knock it over and spill sweet poison!

GARDEN UPDATE
Overcast and tomato soup weather today. Left some plants covered up and some uncovered. It wasn't near freezing last night, but not taking a chance with my baby plants, so heaters on in the greenhouse and plants have to put up with the covers for the nights.

RECYCLED ART SPOTLIGHT- ARTIST  JOANA VASCONCELOS
Paris-born, Lisbon-based artist Joana Vasconcelos constructs art pieces which inspire comment and reflection. Here are humongous replicas of fashionable high-heel shoes from shiny pots and pans.

This visually arresting, larger-than-life sculptural installation series—aptly entitled ‘Shoes’—have showed all over the world, including Seoul and the Château de Versailles.

Much more than just stunning ornaments, these giant shoes make a powerful statement about women’s persisting traditional roles in modern society.

Tomorrow we will show more of Joana's art.
