The Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics will have at least 62,000 spectators, 16,000 athletes and 10,000 performers
GARDEN UPDATE
Minding my own business, watering and filling up bird feeders this morning, I suddenly felt a sharp sting like someone had stabbed me. You guessed it, a wasp. Seriously? You should be giving me a wide berth, buddy. Hope you died a horrible death after you bit me.

Which brings to mind the best practice when getting rid of wasps. I have done this many, many times and have learned that the optimum time is dusk or late afternoon, when the wasps get drowsy and lethargic. Locate the nest and spray with either a commercial wasp killer that can shoot a stream from a safe distance or use your hose's full stream to knock the nest off and then destroy it. Make sure pets and small children are safely inside house when you start.

GARDEN GOODIES~SHARE OUR GARDEN RECIPE #0052 CUTE CLAM COOKIES

Aren't these the cutest? Sooo easy to make, too and a big hit at parties. You could even have an Ariel theme, and serve cheddar fish crackers as a side dish, and maybe fish sticks on a stick!

You will need:
small diameter flat round wafer cookies
pink frosting
yogurt raisins

Instructions:
Frost one cookie on one side. Add yogurt raisin and position other cookie on top as shown, using some of the frosting to secure it at an angle. Put premade candy eyes(secured with frosting)(You can find these at candy or cake supply stores or craft stores like Michaels) or a small dot of white icing followed by a smaller dot of black icing for the eyes.
