GARDEN UPDATE
Chilly willies today! Soooo cold when I woke up it was 44F. Brrr!

Have a tall juniper who has been with us for a long time that suddenly started to turn brown. This has happened to several other junipers and we couldn't figure out how to stop it.We cut off the affected branches and another one would start. So today I finally figured out what it was, blight! You need a systematic disease controller and I found one that came with its own sprayer. So, I hit that tree and hopefully we can stop ourselves from losing another.

Got the fence put up again...it ain't pretty, but not having a fence last night was HORRIBLE. The dogs had to go out in the front patio and their schedules were all messed up. Thankfully, all is back to normal now.
GARDEN GIGGLE

You're going to absolutely love this idea (and you'll smack yourself on the head and say, "Why didn't I think of that??") Adding to our picnic fare of yesterday is a wonderful dessert idea that perfect for dieters, diabetics and also a healthy Mom-approved snack for kids. It's makes a pretty patriotic addition to your picnic spread!

You Will Need:
watermelon, seedless preferred
popsicle sticks (these can be found at art stores, craft stores, 99 cent stores, etc)

Instructions:
Cut your watermelon into wedges and insert a popsicle stick into the rind in the middle.
