Napping Weather

" And if tonight my soul may find her peace in sleep, and sink in good oblivion, and in the morning wake like a new-opened flower, then I have been dipped again in God, and new-created" D. H. Lawrence

GARDEN UPDATE
Today continued to be sunny but still a wee bit windy. It's perfect napping weather! It was the first night we didn't have to put on the heater overnight for the chickens.

We planted pink daisies and wildflowers, as well as dahlias.I noticed my lilies are starting to stick their heads up. The tulips are starting to bloom as well. Soon, it will be time to plant the tomatoes that have been hanging out in the greenhouse.
GARDEN GIGGLE
Why did the chicken cross the basketball court?
He heard the referee calling fowls

Why did the turkey cross the road?
To prove he wasn't chicken

Why did the chicken cross the road, roll in the mud and cross the road again?
Because he was a dirty double-crosser

Why didn't the chicken skeleton cross the road?
Because he didn't have enough guts

Why did the chicken cross the playground?
To get to the other slide

Why did the dinosaur cross the road?
Because chickens hadn't evolved yet

Why did the horse cross the road?
Because the chicken needed a day off

Why did the turtle cross the road?
To get to the shell station

So cute! But I have to admit, my first thought was, "Is that a baby or a mushroom?"

I don't have a green thumb at all! In fact, I have been known to kill cactus!
