The Pasta Art of Sergei Pakhomov

A spider lives inside my head

Who weaves a strange and wondrous web

Of silken threads and silver strings

To catch all sorts of flying things,

Like crumbs of thought and bits of smiles

And specks of dried-up tears,

And dust of dreams that catch and cling

For years and years and years . . ."

JUST BLOOMED TODAY

AWKWARD PHOTO OF THE DAY

TWEET TREATS
bringing you the quirky, funniest and most interesting tweets from Twitter that we came across.
Taking a girl who could fit her entire hand in her mouth to the prom turned out to be a serious lapse in judgement.       @UncleDynamite

DID YOU KNOW...?
The tongue of a blue whale is as long as an elephant.

GARDEN UPDATE
Had an early doctor's appointment today so watering had to wait until almost noon which was not enjoyable, but I must say the plants appreciated me watering them in the midday heat!

Gave away 3 dozen fresh eggs today to my neighbors. Working on those karma points!
PASTA ART OF SERGEI PAKHOMOV
To most people, pasta means yummy food. However, for Russia-based artist Sergei Pakhomov pasta is his passion—he makes miniature sculptures of vehicles using pasta.

For his craft, Pakhomov uses variations of pasta, from spaghetti to lasagne and rigatoni.

Each model takes him 20 to 30 hours to build—thus far, he has a collection of over 30 miniature pasta models that range from cars to helicopters.

All models are kept at home, and stored at a certain temperature and humidity so that they would last.

What’s now a passion to Pakhomov started six years ago, when he was working for a PR company and was asked to create various things out of macaroni—but the advertising campaign was canceled. He still continues with his passion.
