GARDEN UPDATE
Planted roses and mums today and filled up other planters with potting soil and mulch. My naked ladies are starting to leaf, but haven't seen any activity from any other bulbs yet.

GARDEN GOODIES~SHARE OUR GARDEN RECIPE #0100 RASPBERRY-ALMOND LINZER BARS

Gotta love easy desserts! AND raspberry anything!
You Will Need:
(1/2) roll (16.5 oz) refrigerated sugar cookies
(1/2) cup raspberry preserves
(1) tsp cornstarch
(1/4) cup sliced almonds

Instructions:
Heat oven to 350F. Break up cookie dough into ungreased 8 inch square pan. With floured fingers, press dough evenly in bottom to form crust. Bake 12 to 17 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

In a 1 qt saucepan, mix preserves and cornstarch. Cook and stir over medium heat just until mixture comes to a boil. Pour preserves mixture evenly over crust; spread to within 1/4 of edges. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake 10 minutes longer. Cool completely on cooling rack, about an hour. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows.
